Our Heritage
A Family Legacy from Jalisco
A hot sauce inspired by tradition, named in honor of a remarkable woman, and crafted to share the true flavors of Mexico.
Since 1975
Where It All Began
This hot sauce traces its roots to the streets of Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, Mexico, where it was originally sold beginning in 1975.
Prepared in small clay pots and ground using a traditional nixtamal mill, the sauce became known for its bold flavor, balanced heat, and unmistakably homemade character.
More than fifty years later, that tradition continues.
The peppers used in Adela’s Hot Sauce are sourced from the southern region of Jalisco and blended with authentic ingredients to bring the true taste of Mexico to every bottle.
While the name has changed over time, the recipe remains rooted in the same heritage that made it special from the beginning.

A Grandmother’s Legacy
Named in Her Honor
My name is Adela, and this sauce carries the name of my grandmother—the woman I was named after.
My grandmother Adela was a beautiful, strong Mexican woman who loved life deeply. She was a devoted homemaker and mother who raised six children with my grandfather before she passed away at the age of 32.
Though her life was far too short, her legacy has remained a meaningful part of our family ever since.
I grew up eating hot sauce from a young age, and this was always my favorite. Because of my love for this salsa and everything it represents, we made the decision to bring it to the United States so others could experience it too.
Adela’s Hot Sauce is more than a name. It is a way to honor my grandmother, celebrate my Mexican heritage, and share a piece of Mexico with your table.

“More than hot sauce—
a tribute to family, tradition,
and the flavors of Mexico.”

Crafted With Tradition
Flavor First. Heat Second.
After many years of refinement, this recipe has been perfected to deliver the balance that defines Adela’s Hot Sauce: bold flavor first, followed by a smooth, satisfying medium heat.
Crafted with 100% natural ingredients, the sauce is made primarily from carefully selected árbol and mirasol chiles sourced directly from farmers and chosen for their vibrant flavor and balanced heat.
Unlike many commercial hot sauces, Adela’s is made without vinegar, never watered down, and blended with real ingredients for a rich, homemade-style taste.
The result is a sauce that adds a special touch to all kinds of food—from seafood and broths to tacos, chips, pizza, popcorn, and so much more.
Quality matters in every batch. The water used in production is purified, every ingredient is carefully cleaned and disinfected, and each batch undergoes rigorous microbiological and bromatological testing to ensure safety and consistency.
That is how Adela’s Hot Sauce reaches your palate in excellent condition—with exceptional flavor in every bottle.
More than hot sauce — a legacy worth sharing.
